As part of an international team of fifteen students from Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and Vienna, we developed the Atlas Autostop 2080, a speculative exploration of the future of urban spaces without cars.

The atlas investigates how cities could evolve by the year 2080 if mobility were reimagined and public spaces were liberated from automobile dominance. It documents existing urban conditions that already embody car-free or car-light qualities and outlines strategies to protect and enhance these environments. In contrast, it also highlights problematic urban situations caused by car dependency and envisions new forms of infrastructure that facilitate movement and improve the overall quality of urban life.
